✈️ Indian Postgrads to the UK Declined by Nearly 10%

Indian PG enrolment in the UK recorded nearly 40% CAGR (2018-2023), driven by one-year master's programs, post-study work visas (2-year Graduate Route), world-class universities, and cost-efficiency compared to the US and Australia. However, 2024 saw enrolment drops across the US, UK, and Canada due to stricter policies. Recent changes threaten growth with the Graduate Route reduced from 24 to 18 months; dependent visas banned for taught master's students, settlement periods doubled to 10 years; and a proposed 6% tuition tax. While prestigious institutions remain attractive, policy shifts favour competitors like Australia and Germany, offering flexible pathways.
🍃 APAC’s EV Popularity Grew With Rising EV Infrastructure Expansion

Nearly 10% owned an EV in APAC by 2025, with the region capturing 67.3% of global EV sales. APAC's dominance stems from Chinese EVs revolutionising affordability as EV prices even undercut gasoline-powered cars. Chinese brands captured 75% of emerging market EV sales growth in 2024, driven by battery costs below $115/kWh, government subsidies, and local manufacturing. Adding to this momentum, BYD's Indonesia factory will produce 150,000 units annually. Widespread accessibility stems from China's 12.8M charging points and aggressive regional expansion, making Chinese EVs the default choice for price-sensitive consumers across Southeast Asia.
🏭 >30% of NASA’s Budget Was for Deep Space Exploration

NASA’s 2024 budget priorities show major focus on deep-space exploration and science missions, which together account for over 60% of total spending. Key projects include the Artemis program for lunar return, development of the Orion spacecraft, and the upcoming Mars Sample Return campaign. International collaboration remains central, with NASA partnering with the European Space Agency on Artemis modules, Mars missions, and Earth-observation satellites.
