✈️ Saudi Arabian Students Top Middle Eastern PG Enrolments in the UK

Saudi Arabia led Middle Eastern PG enrollment with 5,320 students in UK universities (2023/24), driven by Vision 2030 and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship, targeting 70,000 students abroad by 2030 across 200 approved institutions. Popular fields included clinical dentistry, engineering, and computer sciences. The UK's appeal stems from shared language, quality reputation, and one-year master's programs offering affordability and post-study work rights. Initiatives like transnational education partnerships, International Branch Campuses (IBCs), and new regulations enabling physical UK university presence in Saudi Arabia have further strengthened the popularity of UK universities among Saudi Arabian students.

🍃 Power Generation Contributed the Most to Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Power generation dominated global greenhouse gas emissions at over 25% in 2023, spurring aggressive energy efficiency initiatives. COP28 mandated doubling energy efficiency improvements and tripling renewable capacity by 2030, while the US achieved 4% annual efficiency gains through the IRA and BIL. Global efficiency investments reached $660B in 2024, up 45% since 2019, ranging from building retrofits, EV adoption, heat pumps, and industrial upgrades. Key programs include federal appliance standards, building performance standards, and utility rebates, generating $55B in regional benefits. However, achieving net-zero requires tripling investments to $1.9T annually by 2030.

🤖 AI is the New Way Forward for Content Creation in Sports

AI-generated content is becoming a key tool in the sports industry, with nearly 40% of organisations using it for content creation and distribution in 2025. Teams now rely on AI to automate highlights, personalise fan updates, and analyse gameplay footage. These same systems support player performance optimisation, using real-time data to refine training loads, reduce injury risks, and enhance tactical decision-making across elite and grassroots sport. In esports, AI is transforming strategy development and opponent analysis, giving players faster insights and more adaptive training environments.
