The modest increase in private preschools in Spain from 2023 to 2024 reflects a maturing early childhood education market rather than declining demand. Tighter regulatory requirements, higher operating costs, and workforce shortages have slowed new school openings. At the same time, population growth among preschool age children has stabilised in many regions, reducing pressure for rapid expansion. Global public investment in subsidised and public preschool places has also eased reliance on private providers.

Brazil reached over 200GW of installed renewable energy capacity in 2024, ranking third globally behind China and the United States. This figure is represented by Brazil’s keen focus on environmental sustainability, as it is the second largest biofuel producer in the world. Expanding renewable capacity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 7 on affordable and clean energy, and SDG 13 on climate action, helping these nations reduce emissions while meeting growing energy demand.

🤖 AI adoption is growing in the restaurant industry

Over one-third of US restaurants now use AI for inventory management and menu optimisation in 2024, reflecting the technology’s growing role in streamlining operations. AI helps restaurants predict demand, reduce waste, and tailor menus to customer preferences, improving efficiency and profitability. Policies promoting digital transformation and workforce training in hospitality can further accelerate AI integration and operational innovation.
