✈️ Chinese UG Enrolments in the UK Increased by Nearly 30%

The UK remains one of the most popular destinations for Chinese undergraduates, with enrolments peaking in 2022 and remaining high through 2023. Strong university reputations, English-language advantages, and established Chinese student communities continue to drive demand. UK initiatives such as the Graduate Route visa, expanded TNE partnerships, and targeted recruitment efforts in major Chinese cities have further supported inflows, while streamlined visa processing and recognition of Chinese qualifications help sustain this momentum.

🍃 French Wind Energy Expanded With 40% More Jobs

France’s wind-energy increase reflects growing government commitment to a clean-energy transition, with capacity rising steadily from 2013 to 2023. The government has launched an €11B state-aid scheme for floating offshore wind, aiming to expand offshore capacity to 18 GW by 2035 and 45 GW by 2050. Under its 2030 national plan, France targets over 40% renewables in final energy use, supported by accelerated tenders, upgraded ports and parallel growth in onshore wind, solar, low-carbon hydrogen and bioenergy.

🤖 Autonomous vehicles in China led AI investment

China is rapidly expanding Autonomous-Vehicle AI investment, building on its EV leadership as two-thirds of new EVs integrate advanced self-driving systems. Firms like Xpeng are developing in-house AI chips to boost autonomy performance, while MIIT’s national smart-mobility push expands pilot zones, high-performance chips, and vehicle-road-cloud integration, strengthening China’s autonomous-EV ecosystem nationwide, as it looks to integrate this new value addition to its global EV rollout.
