🏫 Primary Student Expenditure in Denmark Increased by >5%

Primary education spending per pupil in Denmark increased steadily from 2016 to 2023, with the sharpest increase occurring in 2021. This sustained investment supports higher learning quality, enhanced teacher support, and improved digital resources in schools. Historically, Denmark has maintained high expenditure on primary education; OECD data shows its primary spending ranks among the highest of OECD and partner countries. Such consistent funding underscores Denmark’s long-term commitment to strong foundational education.

⚕️ 15% Fall in Population With Mental Health Risk in Asia

The share of population in Asia with high mental health risk fell to 58% in 2024, down from a peak of 72% in 2022. The shift suggests pressures have eased but remain significantly above pre-pandemic norms. Similar declines in other regions show how mental health systems are being given priority and have laid a foundation for those in need. The trend aligns with growing employer investment in mental health support across the region. ASEAN’s Mental Health Framework is set to ensure smooth future progress.

🤖 Improving Product Quality Was Top Driver for AI Application Development

The most significant driver of AI integration in application development was product quality improvement in 2024, followed by reducing IT and operating costs. The clustering around productivity, revenue growth and innovation shows AI’s role shifting from experimentation to core business strategy. The rising uptake of AI across manufacturing, services and logistics, where firms seek efficiency and differentiation. These priorities highlight how AI is increasingly leveraged to enhance efficiency, competitiveness, and sustainability across sectors.
