Education policy-makers allocate funding to factors that support student well-being and equitable access. This week, the UK’s [$2B investment ](https://voxpoliticalonline.com/2024/10/27/reeves-is-pledging-1-4-billion-to-rebuild-crumbling-classrooms/?ref=newsletters.qs.com)in school refurbishments aims to revitalize 50 schools each year and in the US, Chicago’s [“Back to Our Future”](https://www.chalkbeat.org/chicago/2024/10/28/cps-public-schools-back-to-our-future/?ref=newsletters.qs.com) program focuses on re-engaging students through community support, while Washington State now provides free meals to [70% of public school students](https://www.the74million.org/article/70-of-washington-public-school-students-now-have-access-to-free-meals/?ref=newsletters.qs.com).

Recent developments also highlight a growing focus on student well-being in post secondary education.
