Indian EdTech saw the number of new startups drop from nearly 3K in 2020 to just 500 by 2024, marking a significant market correction. US Medicaid spending rose 75% from 2014 to 2023, providing vital health coverage to low-income Americans. [Now, a proposed US bill could cut $698B](https://www.usatoday.com/story/graphics/2025/05/21/winners-losers-trump-big-tax-bill/83744635007/?ref=newsletters.qs.com) of Medicaid funding over the next 10 years, potentially causing 7.6M people to lose insurance. Potential cuts to Medicaid threaten access for vulnerable groups and could reverse progress in expanding coverage.
