✈️ Indian Student Enrolment Was the Highest in Germany

Indian student enrolment in Germany leads all countries with over 49K, significantly outpacing the second-largest cohort, China. This reflects a rapid upward trend in international student migration to Germany, surpassing enrolment projections. The move is driven by the country's world-class, tuition-free public universities, offering an attractive alternative to costlier study destinations. Furthermore, international students will now benefit from the Skilled Immigration Act, implemented by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), increasing annual working days to 140.

🍃 Djibouti Led in Wind Penetration Globally

Djibouti ranks first globally in wind penetration, with wind energy alone supplying 68% of its power in 2024. This reflects the country’s strategic investment in harnessing the strong Red Sea winds to reduce reliance on imported fossil fuels. Djibouti’s renewable progress mirrors broader African ambitions for clean energy independence. Supported by initiatives under the Africa Renewable Energy Initiative (AREI), such projects aim to strengthen sustainable infrastructure and expand access to affordable, low carbon electricity.

🏭 China Led in Car Manufacturing in Asia

Asia’s car production remains heavily concentrated, with China leading at over 31 million units in 2024, nearly four times Japan’s output. India’s growing share highlights its emergence as a global automotive hub, driven by domestic demand and EV manufacturing expansion. The trend reflects Asia’s shift toward electrification and smart mobility, as seen in China’s EV subsidies and India’s Production Linked Incentive Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components, supporting green vehicle innovation and advanced manufacturing.
