🔍 Measuring capability in the age of AI. Innovation Webinar 25 Nov. Reimagine Education London 6-8 Dec.
As AI reshapes how human capability is developed and measured, assessment, verification and learner-data governance are coming into sharper focus. Early bird pricing for Reimagine Education closes this weekend!
Hello 👋
The week EdTech Asia met in Tokyo to discuss human capability in the age of AI, the market announced moves toward measuring it. Google now gives teachers summaries of students’ Gemini Notebook chats, Pearson’s assessment revenue rose 10% as its Workera deal nears completion, and Efekta’s AI teacher programme in Rwanda passed 90,000 educators. Greater capability visibility also raises questions about who governs learner data, and the UK's DfE commissioned Oxford to study pupil data in AI while New York advocates pushed to extend the city’s AI moratorium. Expect assessment, verification and learning-data governance to draw more attention, partnerships and investment into 2027.
🎟️ Get ahead on these important discussions and join us in London this December for QS Reimagine Education, where the OECD’s Andreas Schleicher opens the conference on how education keeps pace with new technology while building the skills learners need next.
“AI and digital technologies are reshaping education worldwide, challenging us to rethink how we develop and assess the knowledge and skills we value most. International exchange and collaboration are essential to identifying promising approaches and putting them into practice.”
~ Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
