👶 Nursery School Students in the UK Declined

Nursery enrolment in the UK declined from nearly 148,000 students in 2015 to around 136,000 in 2022, with the sharpest drop during 2020. The recovery since then has been gradual, pointing to renewed demand for early education despite demographic shifts. These numbers highlight the importance of childcare access in supporting both child development and parental workforce participation. Policies such as the UK government’s expansion of funded childcare hours are aimed at strengthening this foundation.
🍃 China Led in Pumped Hydropower Storage Capacity

In 2023, China led pumped hydropower storage with over 50,000 MW, followed by Japan and the United States. Pumped storage remains the most widely used large scale energy storage technology, balancing variable renewable generation such as solar and wind. Its expansion signals growing emphasis on energy resilience and grid stability. Global initiatives, including IRENA’s renewable energy integration programs, are supporting investments in pumped hydro as a key enabler of the clean energy transition.
🏭 ChargePoint’s Annual Revenue Doubled

ChargePoint’s revenue grew steadily from $145M in 2020 to $468M in 2023, more than tripling in just three years. This reflects surging demand for electric vehicle infrastructure as adoption accelerates globally. With governments funding nationwide charging corridors and automakers ramping up production, rising revenues point toward stronger EV usage in the years ahead, reinforcing momentum in the clean transport transition.
