🎓 NUS topped environmental impact rankings

The National University of Singapore leads environmental impact rankings with a score above 90. The result signals how institutions in Singapore are prioritising sustainability performance. Universities are adopting green campuses, low-carbon research labs, and climate curricula as students and employers demand environmental accountability. Continued progress will likely align with national sustainability strategies such as the Singapore Green Plan led by the government. This reinforces Asia’s role in sustainable education innovation.

⚕️ Coordinated water ODA peaked in 2015 with the SDG launch

Official development assistance (ODA) for water and sanitation peaked in 2015. This high point coincided with the launch of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which placed clean water and sanitation at the heart of the global agenda. SDG 6 focuses on achieving universal access to safe, affordable drinking water, sanitation, hygiene, and improved water quality. While funding has fluctuated since then, recent increases indicate renewed momentum toward achieving universal access to safe water and sanitation.

🏭 Domestic manufacturing investment in the US exceeds $480B

Environmental technology attracted nearly $30B in investment in the US. Green industries remain undercapitalised despite rising climate targets. Advanced manufacturing is closely tied to this sector by producing batteries, precision sensors, and clean energy systems, which require high-tech fabrication capacity. As countries scale net zero strategies, industrial policy and green incentives will increasingly channel capital toward environmentally focused manufacturing ecosystems.
