๐ถ 85% of pre-primary teachers have the minimum required pedagogical training

In 2022, 85% of pre-primary teachers worldwide met the minimum required pedagogical training, highlighting strong global progress in early childhood education. Central and Southern Asia led with over 90% due to strong national policies emphasising teacher certification and professional development programmes. Governments in countries such as India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh have invested in structured training initiatives and regional teacher support networks to ensure quality early childhood education, raising overall standards and improving enrolment outcomes.
โ๏ธ 2023 recorded the highest number of malaria cases

Global malaria incidence increased by nearly 2.5 cases per 1,000 people at risk from 2015 to 2023, signalling a slowdown in progress after years of relative stability. Warmer temperatures and heavier rainfall expand mosquito breeding seasons and transmission zones, especially across tropical regions. Climate volatility also disrupts prevention campaigns and access to health services. The WHO Global Malaria Programme aims to counter this through climate adapted surveillance and vector control strategies.
๐ค Belgium enterprises led AI technology use in the EU

Belgium leads EU enterprise AI adoption largely due to its dense concentration of multinational firms, strong digital infrastructure, and government incentives for business innovation. Its central position in Europe attracts logistics, finance, and tech companies that invest early in automation and data systems. Close followers Denmark and Luxembourg also benefit from advanced connectivity and pro innovation policies, but Belgiumโs larger industrial base gives it a scale advantage in deploying AI across sectors.
