IIM Calcutta launched an eight-month training program in Smart Manufacturing Leadership for senior professionals, plant heads, CXOs, and entrepreneurs. Curriculum covers AI, IoT, robotics, digital twins, cloud, cybersecurity, and leadership, emphasizing hands-on experiential learning for Industry 4.0 excellence.
🏭 Sunderland Apprenticeship Funding Boosts Manufacturing Skills. Sunderland SMEs received $181K through the Training for Growth pilot to hire Level 3 technical apprentices. Backed by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund and NEAA-Education Partnership North East, the program supports 21 positions, strengthening entry-level skills in advanced manufacturing.
AI & Digital Skills
🤝 BSNL Partners with Tech Giants on 5G, AI & Digital Skills. BSNL partners with Ericsson, Qualcomm, Cisco, and Nokia to offer 5G, AI/ML, networking, and cybersecurity programs at its BRBRAITT training center in Jabalpur. The initiative aims to train over 2,000 participants annually through short modules and intensive courses.
🤖 Australia Expands AI Upskilling Through FSO–Microsoft Pilot. Future Skills Organization and Microsoft launched a 12-month AI Skills Accelerator engaging learners and over 30,000 vocational educators in Australia. The program co-designs scalable, inclusive AI training, supporting Microsoft’s commitment to equip 1 million Australians and New Zealanders with AI skills by 2026.
💡 Australian Tech Sector Urges Swift Digital Skills Reforms. The Australian tech sector, represented by the Australian Computer Society (ACS), urges swift reforms to digital skills recognition and education. Its Digital Pulse 2025 report suggests closing the skills gap could add an estimated $25B to the economy by 2035 , advocating for modernizing skills recognition and boosting training opportunities.
Health Skills
👩⚕️ MindHYVE.ai Transforms Nursing Education in Pakistan. MindHYVE.ai signed MoUs with ICS and NEI Pakistan to integrate its ArthurAI platform into nursing training. The program will train 2,000 students in year one, 10,000 in two years, and scale to 80,000 nurses nationwide, enhancing education quality and addressing critical workforce shortages.
👶 Michigan Public Health Gains $1.8 M to Boost Maternal And Child Health Workforce. University of Michigan School of Public Health received a five-year, $1.8M award to establish a Center of Excellence in Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health. The program launches the school’s first interdisciplinary Certificate in Maternal Child Health, partners with community agencies for hands-on student training, and supports underrepresented students with stipends and tuition awards.
🎓 AIUB Hosts Seminar to Strengthen Research & Global Health Skills. The Public Health department at AIUB organized a seminar on developing research skills and primary health care’s global role. NHS leadership emphasized primary care as the backbone of healthcare equity, and AIUB leaders and faculty attended to support public health education.
