The number of nursery schools in Poland increased by over 20% from 2016 to 2023, demonstrating steady and uninterrupted growth. This sustained expansion reflects a long term investment strategy that aligns with demographic changes and the rising rates of female labour force participation. Access to childcare is recognised as a key enabler for employment, and continued growth is expected under the Ministry of Family and Social Policy's Family Care Development Program.
🍃 Netherlands Used 20% More Recycled Material Than the EU Average
The use of recycled material varied widely across the EU in 2024, with the Netherlands leading at over 30%. Western members generally outperformed the EU average, while many Eastern and Southern states remained below 10%. Fluctuating progress is seen in circular economy capacity, driven by differences in waste processing infrastructure and industrial demand for secondary materials. The EU Circular Economy Action Plan continues to shape investment to expand recycling across the European Union.

Mobile internet traffic dominated overall usage in 2024, with several regions, led by Nigeria and Vietnam, relying heavily on mobile devices for online access. As 5G expands, faster speeds are improving access, yet developing regions continue facing weaker signals and infrastructure gaps that limit reliability.
