๐ซ Drop in English primary schools receiving language training support

English primary schools receiving language support from local secondaries dropped 10 percentage points from 2013 to 2025. This decline is largely due to a lack of proper resource transfer channels from local secondaries to primaries, and a shift in education focus to more STEM fields from primary age. Teacher shortages persist in many primary schools due to a lack of qualified teachers in these fields and premature departure from the education field. Restructuring measures include creating language hubs, vocational pathways, and the issuance of Applied Languages certificates.
๐ Over 600 private jets at the Super Bowl raise emission concerns

Private jet arrivals at Super Bowl airports averaged over 600 from 2019 to 2023, with recent events seeing dramatic spikes. During the latest edition, Super Bowl LX attracted approximately 600 private jets to Bay Area airports, a 1,136% increase over typical Sunday traffic. These aircraft generate 5-14 times more emissions per passenger than commercial flights, with mega-events doubling daily emissions from air traffic and energy use. Growing environmental concerns have prompted sustainability initiatives across major sporting events, with the NFL implementing NFL Green programmes featuring solar panels, composting systems, and zero-waste targets.
โ๏ธ Zero sugar beverage sales increased over traditional sodas

Pepsi Zero Sugar sales increased by nearly 20% alongside Coke Zeroโs 4% in early 2025, while regular Coke declined as much as 8%. This shows how the consumer beverage market is seeing a generational shift in demand, as newer generations of consumers are avoiding traditional alcohol and sugary sodas, citing health concerns. Both beverage giants are diversifying beyond traditional sodas as PepsiCo launched Pepsi Prebiotic Cola and Coca-Cola introduced Simply Pop. This has also allowed newer companies to rally their products around healthier options and functionality to enter a once sealed market of consumer beverages.
