💼 Netherlands Led Employment Rate in the European Union

The Netherlands led the EU with an employment rate of nearly 85% in 2024, followed by Malta and Czechia. This high participation reflects strong labour market health and inclusive job creation across Northern and Central Europe. The trend aligns with EU-wide efforts to boost workforce engagement in green and digital sectors. The European Social Fund Plus continues to support member states in skills development and labour integration programs.

🍃 Chad Was the Most Polluted Country in 2024

Chad records the highest PM2.5 level in 2024, followed by Bangladesh and Pakistan. The data shows severe pollution concentrations across parts of Africa and South Asia, driven by biomass burning, vehicle emissions, and industrial activity. These trends mirror rising workforce movement into environmental monitoring and growing student interest in climate sciences. COP30, which is taking place this month, is expected to intensify pressure on countries to adopt cleaner energy and air quality regulations.

🤖 One Third of Organisations Had Wide AI Implementation

One third of organisations globally have widely implemented AI in 2024, while another third operate with only a few use cases. The distribution shows that most companies are still scaling gradually, as AI implementation at a full scale is costly. This trend aligns with rising workforce demand for data engineering and automation skills, and increased student enrolment in computing fields. Asia is also strengthening governance, with Singapore’s AI Verify initiative guiding responsible deployment across industries.
