💼 Professional and Doctoral Grads Earned the Highest in the US
In the US, higher educational attainment is closely tied to lower unemployment rates and higher earnings. Those with professional or doctoral degrees earn significantly more than those with a master’s or lower. However, tuition fees have increased by over 170% in the past four decades, affecting low-income students. With rising debt, looming student loan caps, and federal funding cuts, many universities plan to reduce PhD admissions, creating uncertainty among students who want to pursue higher education.
🍃 China Topped Wind Capacity by 5x in 2024
China’s installed wind energy capacity is nearing 80GW, almost 20 times more than the US in 2024. This is due to China reaching its 2030 target of 1200GW of wind and solar power, 6 years early. The adoption of wind energy provides many benefits economically and environmentally. It reduces carbon footprint and contributes to long-term energy security, making it a sustainable initiative for industrialized countries. By 2030, the wind sector is expected to develop at a compound annual growth rate of 8.8%, adding nearly 1000 GW of wind generating capacity worldwide, accelerating the global energy transition.
🤖 China and the US Accounted for >300 Cloud Infrastructure Services
China leads with 190 cloud infrastructure services, outpacing the United States at 145, while Australia and India each have 32. This data highlights a global rise in cloud infrastructure, crucial for the increasing demands of AI usage and the proliferation of AI models, a trend seen in increasing investments in data centers, with the US and China as frontrunners. The EU is also implementing initiatives such as the Cloud and AI Development Act in order to ensure the administrative background is facilitated for the ongoing rise in AI and cloud computing.
