💼 Male labour participation rate in India is twice more than females

Labour force participation in India in 2025 shows a gender gap of over 40 percentage points, with significantly higher participation among men than women. The disparity reflects structural differences in employment, with men more represented in blue-collar sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and agriculture. Social norms, unpaid care responsibilities, and limited access to formal jobs also affect female participation. Expanding opportunities in services and flexible work may help narrow the gap. The Skill India Mission implemented by the Government of India supports workforce inclusion and training.

⚕️ Healthcare data breaches in the US affected over 280M people

US healthcare data breaches rose sharply by nearly tenfold from 2014 to 2023. The increase reflects large-scale cyberattacks on health systems and third-party vendors holding sensitive patient data. Breaches often occur through ransomware, phishing, or system vulnerabilities, exposing millions of records in a single incident.  Increasing digitisation of health records has expanded attack surfaces. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, enforced by the US Department of Health and Human Services, regulates data protection and breach reporting.

🤖 APAC region led global telecom market share

Telecom market capitalisation in 2025 is led by APAC at over $1T, exceeding all other regions and accounting for a large share of the $2.5T globally. Telecom networks are evolving toward AI native systems where autonomous agents manage complexity and optimize performance across 5G Advanced and future 6G infrastructure. The telecoms industry continues to face a fundamental challenge; its core products and services are becoming commodities, meaning it has difficulty raising prices, while it faces a continual need to invest in infrastructure. Strong demand for connectivity and data services continues to drive regional growth. The Digital Silk Road initiative led by the Government of China supports telecom infrastructure expansion across Asia.
