💼 Over 50K Big-Tech Layoffs Amidst AI Aligned Restructuring

Big tech eliminated over 50,000 jobs during 2023-2025, with Microsoft leading at 24,753 cuts, followed by Tesla (14,000). Companies restructured to prioritize AI development, automating administrative tasks and middle management roles while simultaneously investing billions in AI infrastructure. Post-pandemic overhiring corrections and economic slowdowns compounded downsizing. Stack Overflow cut 28% of staff, replacing roles with AI coding assistants. This strategic pivot reflects a fundamental workforce transformation toward automation-driven efficiency over traditional headcount expansion.

🍃 Alternative Fuels Cost More Than Some Regular Fuels

While LNG remained costliest at $4.70/gallon in 2025, biofuel adoption  is expected to grow, driven by federal mandates like the Renewable Fuel Standard and 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit. Cost reduction efforts focus on advanced enzyme engineering) and second-generation technologies using waste feedstocks and algae. However, biodiesel (B99-B100) at $4.10/gallon remains 28% pricier than gasoline, limiting accessibility despite infrastructure grants and blending mandates supporting market penetration.

🤖 Most US Employees Want Training on AI Usage

US employees prioritize formal AI training and seamless workflow integration as companies invest billions in AI infrastructure. The AI corporate training market will reach $44.6B by 2028, boosting efficiency by 57%. However, only 35% of firms have governance frameworks, with under 20% conducting regular audits. Just 1% reach AI maturity, as 31% of S&P 500 companies disclosed board-level AI oversight in 2024. Investment outpaces governance, creating ethical and compliance gaps.
