👶 Western Australia had the highest share of enrolled preschool children in AU

Western Australia recorded the highest share of children enrolled in dedicated preschools, above the national average of 34.5%. The difference reflects the state’s greater reliance on standalone preschool services rather than preschool programmes delivered through long day care centres. Population distribution and state specific early childhood education models have also shaped enrolment patterns. Strong preschool participation supports school readiness and workforce outcomes by improving early learning foundations. Western Australia’s Universal Access National Partnership, implemented with the Australian Government, aims to expand access to quality preschool education before children begin school.
🍃 UNEP’s environmental fund accounted for a quarter of the total budget

UNEP allocated $100M from its Environment Fund in 2025, compared with larger contributions from earmarked funds and global financing mechanisms. The Environment Fund serves as UNEP’s core flexible funding source, supporting programme delivery, and environmental governance across multiple priorities. The larger share of earmarked funding reflects growing donor preference for financing specific climate, biodiversity, and pollution projects with measurable outcomes. The Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, adopted under the Convention on Biological Diversity, guides international efforts to protect ecosystems and halt biodiversity loss.
🤖 Marketing strategy content support claimed the top ranking for generative AI adoption

Content support for marketing strategy was the most common generative AI use case in the US in 2024, ahead of personalised marketing and design development. Marketing teams have been among the earliest adopters of generative AI and can rapidly create campaign ideas, audience insights, advertising copy, and content at lower cost and scale. The technology helps organisations respond faster to changing consumer preferences while improving productivity across digital marketing functions. The US National AI Research Resource initiative supports broader adoption and development of AI capabilities across industries.
