🏫 Primary school enrolment in Egypt is above 90%

Primary school enrolment in Egypt remained above 90% from 2016 to 2023. The consistently high rates reflect a strong national emphasis on universal basic education and expanded school access. Public investment in infrastructure and compulsory education policies has supported widespread participation. The Education Strategic Plan implemented by the Government of Egypt promotes access and well-rounded learning in primary education.

βš•οΈ Antibacterial consumption in Denmark subsides

Antibacterial consumption in Denmark declined by over 10% in 2024. The overall downward trend reflects improved antibiotic stewardship, reduced over prescription, and stronger public awareness of antimicrobial resistance. The National Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance implemented by the Government of Denmark guides responsible antibiotic use. It adopts a One Health approach, integrating surveillance of antibiotic use across human, animal, and food sectors (2024-2027) while pledging $43M to ICARS.

🏭 Adoption of hydrogen strategies continue to increase

Hydrogen strategies globally increased by nearly triple as of 2025, showing rapid policy expansion. The rise reflects growing interest in both green hydrogen from renewables and blue hydrogen using natural gas with carbon capture. Countries are positioning hydrogen as a key solution for decarbonising industry, transport, and energy systems. Major stakeholders include governments, energy companies, and industrial manufacturers investing in infrastructure. The Global Hydrogen Strategy, supported by the International Energy Agency, guides international development and adoption.
